OEM reminds residents that warming centers are temporary places where people can go to warm up. Shelters are designed for overnight or extended stays when needed. OEM is recommending that if any residents need a facility to take shelter they should call 2-1-1. “Our goal is to ensure that no Prince Georgian is without shelter during this blizzard,” said Prince George’s County Emergency Manager Ronnie Gill. “We need anyone who is in need or knows of someone in need of a shelter to call 2-1-1. Operators will then refer callers to designated shelters throughout the County.” For the latest updates and information please go to www.princegeorgescountymd.gov, sign up for Alert Prince George’s Text alerts here, and follow #PGCSnow on social media.
