Lux Lounge to host a CVS pharmacy Beauty Club event. The theme of the event is based on the Mirror Mirror Beauty Awards . The tour kicked-off in Atlanta with a private VIP reception on Monday, September 10th, 2012 at the beautiful Indigo Bar and will continue to Washington, DC on September 24th at Lux Lounge. The tour will highlight many of the most prominent and recognized style makers in the beauty and entertainment industries by recognizing their successes. A national rollout to 13 major cities will take place beginning January 2013.
Recognizing award recipients that include Cynne Simpson – ABC TV news personality; Georgia Alfredas – Radio/TV personality on the Syndicated Russ Parr Morning Show; Mya – Singer, Actress; Aisha Davis – Ugly Girl cosmetics; Aba Kwawu – Fashion; Cortney Hicks – Radio Personality Majic 102.3; Deidre Jefferies – Celebrity stylist & designer; Rashida Jolley – Recording artist/ Songwriter; Jeannie Jones – Radio personality; Kitiya Mischo King – MischoBeauty.com; Glynn Jackson – Founder Golden Scissors Award; and Dr. Maria J. Hankerson – Business Health. The awards program is an important vehicle in featuring local DMV skill sets that are critical to success in the beauty industry and highlighting all of the enthusiasts who assist in refining our culture with their skills and knowledge. This will be a premier event, giving guests an ornate ambiance as well as an elegant showcase and awards ceremony.
