All those educated black folk in Howard County , MD need to join the Martin Luther King, Jr., Holiday Commission . This is not just open to people of African descent. It is open to all but, get your resume read and , your mind right.

Howard County Executive Ken Ulman invites interested residents to apply for openings on the Martin Luther King, Jr., Holiday Commission to serve a two-year term. Only Howard County residents 18 years of age or older are eligible to apply; they must be willing to attend the Commission’s meetings on the first Wednesday of each month at the Columbia Gateway Building, 6751 Columbia Gateway Drive at 7 p.m. The Commission was established to encourage and coordinate appropriate activities and ceremonies throughout Howard County to honor the birthday, ideals and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. The Commission also provides assistance to local government and private organizations with respect to the observance of the holiday honoring the birthday of the late Dr. King. Successful candidates will be appointed by the County Executive and confirmed by the County Council. Letters of interest, including resumes, should be sent to Jessica Feldmark, Chief of Staff, George Howard Building, 3430 Courthouse Drive, Ellicott City, MD 21043.
