The Howard County Office on Aging and the Alzheimer's Association of Greater Maryland have joined forces to present an innovative pilot program for individuals diagnosed with early memory loss or dementia. Beginning on January 19, “Kindred Spirits” Social Club will meet every Wednesday and Friday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., in the 50+ Center at the Gary J. Arthur Community Center at Glenwood. The social club is designed to give participants the opportunity for socialization, companionship, support, education and provide them with a sense of purpose, all in a safe and nurturing environment. Activities will include speakers, discussion of current events, gentle yoga, meditation and art therapy. The daily fee of $26 includes snacks, a nutritionally-balanced lunch, coffee and tea
