CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield employees completed the company’s record year of community giving by independently leading a wide range of efforts to help make the holiday season better for residents of Maryland and the National Capital Area. In 2010, CareFirst contributed $56 million to community programs designed to increase the accessibility, affordability, safety and quality of health care throughout Maryland, Washington, D.C., and northern Virginia, the most in community funding that the not-for-profit health insurer has ever before committed.
