For all you taxi cab gangster drivers that don't want to pay Bob, PG county is opening up the gates for independent drives .
The Prince George’s County Department of Environmental Resources (DER) announced today that the registration for the lottery of 390 taxicab operating certificates will begin November 1 and continue through November 30, 2010. Beginning November 1, 2010, registration packages for the taxicab lottery may be dropped off at the Business License Office located at 1801 McCormick Drive in Largo on weekdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be no review of the registration information at the time the packages are submitted. The registration information will be reviewed and applicants will be notified by U.S. Mail if they have met the qualifications. All applicants that qualify for the lottery will also receive a lottery stub with their notice of qualification.
