If you live in the DMV, you may have heard the name Anji Corley. Well, lets go back down memory lane. You seen her on those infomercials. No, No not that lane. You remember her from WPGC promotional titled America's Next Top Jock. You remember her from the now defunct Donnie Simpson Morning Show and the Michele Wright replacement after Wright quit.

What you did not know about this woman? Corley is the lucky charm in the radio game right now. If we look at her resume briefly, you will see why.

Anji Corley brings her wit, charm, personality and professionalism to the airwaves at WPGC 95.5. She came to D.C. from Pittsburgh’s WAMO 106.7, entered and won the “America’s Next Top Jock” contest as a part of the former Donnie Simpson Morning Show, and now hosts her own show during the afternoon drive. A native of New York, Anji has been in media/radio for over 14 years, and has worked in Radio, Television, and Print Media in a variety of capacities including On-Air Personality, Promotions Director, Lifestyle Contributor & Producer, and Entertainment Reporter. Named as one of Ebony Magazine's “Super Sexy Singles” in the July/August 2009 issue; New Pittsburgh Courier’s Fab 40!: The Steel City’s rising young professionals under 40 & as Co-Host and Judge on the weekly NBC television show Gimme The Mike!, Anji Corley proves time and time again that giving back to the community and doing what you love is its own reward.

After reading the above, there is no problem with her background in the entertainment industry. How is she lucky? You may ask. She was let go in Pittsburgh, PA because WAMO 106.7 shut down due to PPM allegedly and, Corely was with out a job. The next door open and Corely got on America's Next Top Jock. After that , she was put on hold until Michele Wright quit and now she is a raising star by some people standards.

Corely life up to now my be a reflection of life in this US economy today. Recently, She made it to the Top 10 finalist in a contest that started out with 10,000 female radio personalities, then went to a top 100 where she was the only Radio Jock from the DC metropolitan area. The contest is Regis & Kelly’s “Women of Radio Co-Host for a Day”. She made this list with the help of the people in the DMV.

Corely made this statement recently, “Wherever the job is and wherever I’m called to be is where I’ll go. I just want to be happy and blessed with the opportunity to do what I love. Let’s keep it moving and have some fun.”
